Kristian with Pro-Line Fencing did an excellent job communicating with me about the layout of my fence installation. He offered thoughtful recommendations I hadn't considered and kept me updated on when his team would be out to complete the work. His crew arrived exactly when they said they would and worked hard all day. Everyone was polite, professional, and quick to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend Pro-Line fencing.

I recently had a vinyl fence installed and got quotes from five different companies before making my decision. Pro Line Fence not only came in with the best price, but they also delivered outstanding quality from start to finish. The installation process was smooth and efficient, and the craftsmanship really shows in the final result. The installer was incredibly meticulous, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in his work. It’s rare to find someone who works that hard while still paying close attention to every detail. If you’re considering a new fence, I highly recommend Pro Line Fence. They exceeded my expectations in both value and quality, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Our initial contact was with the owner Kristian, who came out for a quote during a rainstorm and did not walk the property, instead estimating from a distance using a blueprint we provided. We then needed a proper drawing for HOA approval, and despite sending our plans multiple times, it took several follow-ups to receive a usable version. Once approved, we paid a 50% deposit and were scheduled quickly, which we appreciated. However, installation day was very frustrating. I had clearly communicated to Kristian that I would be unavailable for calls due to a work training and requested texts only, but received repeated phone calls throughout the day, requiring me to step out of work over and over. One of those calls was to correct an issue where the wrong fencing materials were nearly sent to be installed, that thankfully I was able to correct in time. Kristian did not remain on-site, and the two installers did not speak English very well, so all communication had to go through Kristian via phone from afar. This led to multiple interruptions, including questions about property boundaries that had already been outlined in the provided plans. A major concern was a price increase introduced after installation had already begun based on the timing of events and our security footage. Kristian contacted me about an additional thousands of dollars being due to increased square footage, eventually reducing it to $2,000 after I had requested compensation for the poor communication. There were also issues with how grading was handled. When asked about leveling our back corner, we agreed to any leveling that needed to be done, but this resulted in a large amount of clay and soil being dug up and left throughout the yard, including near a drainage area. No "leveling" actually occurred, and again, Kristian was not present to provide oversight to what that "leveling" entailed. The contract also stated that cleanup was included, but this was not completed initially. When we later contacted Kristian about the cleanup, communication became difficult as he grew increasingly rude. He questioned expectations around the leftover soil and pushed for phone calls despite prior communication preferences. My husband ultimately had to step in to continue discussions. After several days and ongoing follow-up, a partial resolution was reached, and workers returned—but without proper equipment or communication regarding what they were sent there to accomplish (per their words, thankfully my husband spoke some Spanish), using bags from their truck to remove approximately 400lbs of clay. After installation, we did not receive any proactive follow-up from Kristian—only a request for final payment. We had to reach out ourselves to confirm whether the job was complete. He also did not return following the cleanup to confirm this was done to satisfaction. Additional details that continued our negative experience: * Gate keys were left in the locks and one was found in the yard without any communication. * A company sign was placed in our yard without permission. * Kristian never returned to the job site to review the work or confirm cleanup. Throughout the process, Kristian frequently mentioned being very busy, which we understand—but the lack of communication, oversight, and follow-through made the experience stressful. To be fair, the installation crew worked hard and completed the fence in one day, and the final product itself is functional, but we have not yet turned on our sprinklers to ensure there has not been any sprinkler line damage. But they are the only reason for 2 stars versus 1. It was also extremely difficult and frustrating to have workers with a language barrier, which impacted communication further especially without Kristian onsite. That said, based on our experience, I would strongly recommend future customers ensure all details—including measurements, scope changes, pricing, and cleanup expectations—are clearly agreed upon in writing before work begins.

My experience with Pro-Line Fencing was excellent from start to finish! Kristian was very easy to work with; professional and personable, timely with an honest, fair, and reasonable quote, responsive to texts/calls, happy to answer all of my many questions, and prompt with scheduling my project. Overall great communication! His crew of 2 guys removed and replaced my large backyard 6ft. wooden privacy fence in one day, and the quality of their work and clean up was exceptional. True craftsmanship! I would highly recommend Pro-Line Fencing and use them again for any future fencing needs. Thanks again for a job well done!

I had a vinyl fence installed and overall had a great experience. I was impressed at the responsiveness of coming out to provide a quote and how quick install was. There was prompt communication and clarity thought out the process so I knew exactly what to expect. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a new fence.

Frequently Asked Questions

How tall should a security fence be in Michigan?

For most residential and light-commercial uses, 6 ft meets local zoning codes; high-security applications often require 8 – 10 ft. Always verify with your township—our team handles permits for you.

Do I need a permit for a security fence or gate?

Yes—almost every municipality in West MI requires a permit for fences over 6 ft or automated gates. We pull the permit and include the fee in your quote.

Which fence material is hardest to climb?

Anti-climb welded-wire panels and tightly-spaced industrial aluminum spear-top designs rate highest. No-climb chain-link with bottom tension-wire is a cost-effective second.

Can you install during winter?

Absolutely. We use heated augers and fast-set concrete to set posts even in frozen ground.

How long will installation take?

Most residential jobs finish in one day; large commercial runs and automated gates may take 2 – 3 days including programming.
